Privacy.

This is my personal website, and it collects as little about you as it can: no accounts, no comments, no contact forms, no advertising and no tracking cookies.
Who runs this site
I’m Liam James Mendoza, based in Davao City, Philippines. I’m responsible for any personal data this site handles. For anything about your data, email me at [email protected].
When you visit
Like any website, this one can’t reach you without some technical data: your IP address, your browser and device type, the page you asked for and when. These services handle it to deliver and protect the site:
- Hostinger hosts the site. Its servers keep standard access logs.
- Cloudflare sits in front of the site to speed it up and block attacks, and may briefly check that your browser is real. It also counts page views with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn’t use cookies or identify you.
- Wordfence, a security plugin, checks requests for attacks and may log the IP address of suspicious ones.
- Google Fonts serves the site’s typeface, so your browser connects to Google, which sees your IP address.
- Hostinger Reach, my email newsletter service, loads a small script that powers sign-up forms.
The site itself sets no cookies for visitors. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie if it needs to verify your browser. Standard WordPress login cookies are only set for people who sign in to manage the site.
When you email me
The contact links on this site open your own email app. Your message and email address reach my Gmail account (provided by Google), and I use them only to reply and keep the conversation going. I don’t add you to any list unless you ask.
If you subscribe to my newsletter
When you sign up, your email address (and your name, if you give it) is stored with Hostinger Reach and used only to send you the newsletter. Every issue has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes you off the list.
What I don’t do
I don’t sell your data, share it for advertising, or use it to profile you.
How long it’s kept
Hostinger, Cloudflare and Wordfence keep technical logs for limited periods under their own policies. I keep emails while the conversation is useful, and newsletter sign-ups until you unsubscribe. Either way, ask and I’ll delete what I hold about you.
Your rights
Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), you have the right to be informed about how your data is used, to access it, to have it corrected, to object to its use, to have it erased or blocked, to receive a copy you can take elsewhere, and to be compensated for damage caused by its misuse. If you’re in the European Union or the UK, the GDPR gives you similar rights.
To use any of them, email me. If you think I’ve mishandled your data, you can also complain to the National Privacy Commission.
Links to other sites
This site links to LinkedIn, Davi and other sites. They have their own privacy policies, which apply once you’re there.
Changes
When the site changes what it collects, I’ll update this page and the date at the top.
